Deleting your account
Last changed 13 October 2026.
You can delete your Voicaw account yourself, at any time, from the app or from any browser. It happens at once and can't be undone.
How
- Open Voicaw: the app, or app.voicaw.com in a browser, and log in.
- Go to Settings → My Account → Delete Account.
- If you own guilds, either make someone else their owner first, or tick the box to delete them with your account.
- Enter your password and choose Delete my account.
Can't log in any more (no password and no recovery code)? Write to voicaw@proton.me with your username. Since nobody can check your password for you, you may be asked for things only the account's owner would know before anything is deleted.
What's deleted
- Your profile: display name, status, bio, picture and banner, and the record of the games you played (your profile's Activity). Your username is freed for others.
- Everything needed to log in: password data, the copies of your encryption keys, your recovery code data, two-factor authentication data, and every device you were logged in on (all are logged out).
- Your notes, settings, spellcheck dictionary, emoji usage, favourite GIFs, muted and pinned conversations, the people and webhooks you've blocked (and others' blocks of you), your friends and friend requests (both ways), and notification subscriptions.
- Your place in every guild and group chat (and which of their events you were interested in, and your XP and level there); guilds you own, with everything in them, if you chose to delete them.
- Bot applications you made: each bot leaves every guild and stops working (its messages stay, from a deleted bot), and its conversations with people are deleted.
- Your conversations with bots, both sides.
- Websites you logged in to with Voicaw lose their access.
What stays
Messages are part of other people's conversations, so they stay where they are, shown as from "Deleted User":
- Messages you sent in direct messages, group chats and guilds (with the earlier versions of those you edited), with your reactions, and the records of calls you were in. (Those in direct messages and group chats stay end-to-end encrypted: Voicaw can't read them.)
- Things you made in guilds: tasks, comments, documents, scheduled events, webhooks, and the guild's audit log entries naming you.
- An empty placeholder for your account (its number, when it was made and last online, and its public keys), so your old messages still show as from one deleted person.
To remove a particular message, delete it in the app before deleting your account. For anything else, write to voicaw@proton.me. See also the privacy policy.
