Voicaw on a computer: a guild called The Flat, its channel list, and a chat about oat milk and pizza

What's in it

Private by design

Direct messages, group chats, files, and calls are encrypted on your device.

Calls

You can call people. With your voice.

Guilds

It's called a guild, not a server. Fuck you.

Voice and screen sharing

There are voice channels. You can share your screen in them.

Lists and documents

Cool new channel types that you won't ever use.

Everywhere you are

In any browser, on your phone as an app from the home screen, or as a desktop app with automatic updates.

What's encrypted?

Direct messages, group chats and their calls are end-to-end encrypted. Guilds are not: that's what lets them have search, mentions, and an audit log.

Join the Android test

The Android app is on Google Play as a closed test for now: Google only lists a new app for everyone after testers have tried it. To be one of them:

  1. Ask to join here, with the email address of the Google account on your phone (usually a Gmail address).
  2. We add you to the test by hand, so give it a day or two. There's no email when it's done.
  3. Then, on your phone, join the test and install Voicaw from Google Play. Android 8 or newer.

Only Voicaw's admins see what you send. Adding you gives your email address to Google, as the test's list of testers. See the privacy policy.
